Lots of lots
My girlfriend and I found a new thrifting honey hole, so I’ve been bringing home big bags of toys. After bundling up a number of Peppa Pig figures and Angry Birds plush, I can see the profits are there. Hopefully, it wasn’t just a mad dash of Facebook Marketplace buyers eager to make Christmas special. Especially because my girl and I are definitely going back to the well.
Give it away now
I had my first giveaway success. I offered up a Captain Underpants George Beard plush I found at the thrift store. There was none listed at the time and they normally sell for more than $30!
I made a quick contest and corresponding IG post, offering new subscribers to Flipshark Bolos the chance to win. I got three new subscribers all for the price of one plush!
Blogging to remember
I had a revelation reflecting over the past year - I've been compiling a solid collection of bolos. I thought after three months, it would be a good time to offer up a teaser for those not yet subscribed. I was proud to make a blog post highlighting one bolo from each email I've shared since October.

Short stuff
It's always a bit sad to see slow growth. I've been trying to get in the habit of using Instagram more actively, but I only added 3 new IG followers this month. I need a better strategy.
Going forward
Recently, I heard James Clear on The Tim Ferris Show mention the question, "What game are you playing and is it worth winning?"
I'm assuming full-time flipping in my neck of the woods would not deliver the income I want. The competition is too aggressive, especially if I only stick with toys.
If full-time flipping isn't the goal, then I'm spending far too much time doing it.
If I want to find my 1,000 True Fans, I need to change things up.
Instead of setting goals, I think I need to experiment with systems. It's a concept I picked up from Dilbert creator Scott Adams.
What's my system?
Growing my knowledge
Growing my audience
Growing my content library
How can I do that?
Taking notes from YouTube videos and IG posts daily
Commenting and following on IG and FB regularly
Sharing IG posts, stories, and reels regularly
Write evergreen blog posts, i.e. eBay 101
Let’s get this system going!
